Lotus Elan and Lotus Elan Plus 2 Forums

I didn't get the usual email notice from Anne Marie of club lotus, but Club Lotus News arrived today and I see the following notice:

From 6pm onwards. There will be a BBQ and refreshments available throughout the evening. All funds raised go to the Isobel Hospice.

The Old Dairy Barn, Lamer Lane, Wheathampstead, Herts UK, AL4 8RG

Inside it also says:

On display will be some special historic Lotus racing cars ... etc
Malcolm and Jill are great hosts and it's always a lovely evening - everyone's welcome including guests so just arrive from 6pm and enjoy yourself.

I shall probably go, especially to show Malcolm and Jill that their very first Lotus is back on the road again. Though they only owned it about 15 months versus the 44 years I have owned it since.

Anyone else going?

Went a couple of years ago and a very good and worthwhile event it was. Cannot make it this year as will be on holiday and will have done the Stelvio pass that day.

I will be going.I have a Lotus Elan +2 JPS. It will be my 1st time but I have been told it will be interesting.

Kermit is all fuelled up and ready to go.

I shall probably be arriving early as I have the dreaded Dartford Tunnel on my route from Tunbridge Wells, but Malcolm won't mind me helping to shift the cars about I'm sure.

Save a place for my car inside the main compound, I am coming in Malcolm's first Elan.

A great time was had at the BBQ.

Malcolm & Jill were pleased to see their original Elan again and I noticed Malcolm explaining their history of the car to many of the visitors.

What an amazing car collection... I see an eleven GT, Ian Walker 26R etc, anyone know the background on Malcolm? I have not heard of him before...
