Pharriso said....."Tony, it really is great that Brian will be there & especially that he has offered to give 6 hours of his time to tell us how to restore & maintain our Elans."

Like I said in the post before, Brian will be there the whole weekend. I am sure he will look at your cars, Talk your ear off about them. When he was here I told him he could talk almost as much as me. But he actually may have me beat.

Brian is one of those guys that after talking with him for a few minutes, you feel like you have known him your whole life. I like Brian a lot. Very nice fellow. Can't say enough good about him. That is why I invited him back.

We also had Bob Dance here the same weekend. I sort of ambushed Brian and asked him explain how to set up Webers, while Bob was in the room. Sort of like asking your English teacher to explain Shakespeare with the old guy himself sitting in the front row. ( I realize unless you include time travel into that senario, it would be difficult but you get the idea)

Yes, the car show is on Sat. We stop around 3 and head back to the hotel. Usually you are bushed from the car show. Gives people time to wind down, grab a shower, etc.

To ask Brian to do all three days would be a bit much I would think, but that is up to him and we are flexible. The hotel is small enough that we can get word of changes pretty quickly to the group.

Keep in mind that if it is like my house in October, Brian spent quite a bit of time talking to individuals about their cars, showing them things...etc.. Got to give him time to do that as well.

Not asking him to talk all 3 days... someone said they need the 2 talks to be similar as they would be travelling (I assume Sunday.) So a counter proposal would be Friday & Saturday talks...

I will ask him, (well he will probably see this) if he wants to do 3 talks, 2 talks and when.

Just heard from Brian Buckland...

His reply was: "

I am there to help. I will give a talk on each of 3 days if required, I will go and see owners cars, I will crawl under a car if they have got a decent jack, I will meet 2 /3 guys round a table and go through their problems, I will meet 2/3 guys in the Bar (under the table?)

Like I said, Brian is one hell of a nice guy. Hopefully you all can make it. I am certainly looking forward to it. Brian is just one of those guys you meet once in a lifetime.

Tony,
I am planning on attending so add one more to your count. I just bought an S3 DHC as a companion for my S3 FHC. I'm not sure which one I will bring at this point. I need to get to know the new acquisition before I decide.

I will be driving from Erin, ON.

Cheers,
Don
