I only heard of the Boston Cup invitational concours the night before the event. I saw that an Elite was on the list and I became very curious as to which Elite would have been invited. So I went to Boston Common yesterday morning, camera in hand. The Elite turned out to be 1015, one of the prototypes, and driven by Colin Chapman, Jay Chamberlain and others at Sebring in 1959. Nick Grewal now owns it and and it has been returned to competition in events like the Mount Equinox hill climb. The last time I saw 1015 it was a very rough, bare shell. It looks very much the part today.

It looked a bit different back in April 2006 when I took a ride to pick it up. quite a drive taking the northern route along I 80. Beau and I logged about 8000 miles on that ride.

Gary,
Thanks for the "before" image. I forgot that you and Beau had the long road trip to bring 1015 east. Poor Nick assumed I knew nothing when I started taking pictures yesterday. I hope I did not deflate him when I started telling him about seeing the bare shell at Chris's shop.
