Hi everyone, Has anybody dealt with Vincent Haydon Lotus Dealer?
Is he in partnership with Neil Myers?
Is this the same company as UK Sportscars or Kent Sportscars?
Don't worry i dont have a problem with Vincent Haydon.
They often have nice cars for sale which are tempting me but i would like to get some impartial information and views about them.
Alternatively has anyone on here got a nice / interesting baby Elan for sale?
Many thanks, Ken.

Ken
Vincent Haydon does the buying and selling, Neil Myers (son of Ken) does the fettling. Vincent usually has well priced cars for sale.
UK Sportscars run by a Mr Glugston has a number of comments on this forum: I suggest you do a search and form your own opinion.
If you can, I suggest that in principle you avoid the dealers as they do charge a premium for their cars. You will buy a good or very good Elan from Paul Matty, but best to have deep pockets - and I don't begrudge the fact that he and other dealers have to make a living. However, persevere and you should come across the private seller who asks a realistic price for their Elan.
Should you specifically require a Sprint, let me know and I'll see if I can help. I am not a dealer and do not charge anyone anything, by the way!

I have known Vince since he ran a B&B in Sailsbury in the 1980's (as well as collecting Elans Europas and 7s), a real long time early Lotus fan ....

Hi Ken
Neil Myers is not in partnership with vincent, i visit neil daily as he is restoring 2 cars of mine currently.,
they worked together on elan 5 speed gearbox project
many years ago but that was all.
i know vincent buys and sells lotus cars but have had no direct experience other than he offered a very low price on an elise a friend of mine owned and claimed he was not a dealer.
Try to buy direct from a fellow lotus enthusiast, there are many people on this site than can offer advice and help accurately and without charge, that you can trust.
local members will also assist with viewings if needed,
best of luck with your search
regards,
Deryck
