Can anyone tell me when the baby Elan changed from red dashboard decals to white. As I understand it, red were fitted to the later S3 and continued in the early production S4, but I canniot establish the dates. Geoff

The first time I saw Red lettering was when we got a 1968 S3 SS Coupe, I do not know if other Elans had Red letting, perhaps the Red in the SS was a supposed to be more viable and or safe?

Finding Red letters when re-doing a dash will not ne easy!

My Aug 69 S4 has white lettering so the change must have been earlier than that

My September 1967 S3SE FHC originally had red dashboard lettering. I now have a new Sue Miller dashboard with white lettering. This car has had a red interior (seats, door trim, tunnel cover) since new and I have always assumed that the red lettering was part of that colour scheme.
