Looking for a USA source for Duckhams oil for my '67 Elan+2. I see it for sale on Ebay-UK, but the cost to ship would be excessive. Anyone found a source?

Jerry

Don't bother, you have got a ready supply of Valvoline 20/50 Racing which is much better.

Mine bought earlier in the year is green.

I wonder if Castrol are simply repackaging GTX and selling it under the Duckhams brand?

Authentic Duckhams was always a better oil than GTX and certainly better at holding a decent oil pressure in older British engines. I can remember a Triumph Spit' in particular which had alarming oil pressure on GTX but was fine with Duckhams ........ no idea why.

I know the classic British bike fraternity are very fond of Duckhams.

My Duckhams has not been Green for the past year or so.

Could have written that better....NO it's not black, and YES I do change it regularly.

It's just common or garden oil coloured now....nearly treakle coloured....or thick whiskey coloured....Hmmmmm whiskey.... :D

Why Duckhams ? Are you looking for more ZDDP and or to avoid the new API service ratings ? - If so there are other more cost effective routes than to import Duckhams.

I found this to be interesting, having had very good luck with Valvoline Racing Oils over the years.... http://www.roushperformance.com/news.cg ... ry&sid=234
