What did you do to your Lotus today...

Thanks, Nick
Nick, they are Wipac Quadoptics, . Make sure you get LHD ones without the pilot lights, model number is S4695B; I bought them off eBay in the UK - LR Defender take -offs, these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185156534900? are from a different vendor, but same lights.
p.s. Be careful with the wiring, US sealed beam headlights have totally different pin assignments to H4s... ask me how I know

That sign post in the distance is over 1/2 a mile away!!
No where's the challenge in that, Phil!?!
Seriously, though, that is amazing.
Before anyone suggests otherwise they use a standard 60/55w bulb.
Here's the dipped light pattern:
& the main light pattern in the same location:

Once thing I learned in our 2800 mile trip to LOG40 was that a dead pedal would be really nice to have.
Since LOG41 will be about 2300 miles, I figured I'd better put one in.
It's 2" wide at the widest, with some material removed at the widest part of my foot to provide some additional clearance when using the clutch. It bolts to the wheel well bulkhead. So far it's worked great in several test drives.

Phil,
looks like you need to aim them a bit lower out of the eyes of the oncoming drivers? great light, but should all be on the road surface, not just a perfect level to infinity.

Ted look at the pictures again...
On raised beam (main Beam) there should not be oncoming drivers...
On Dipped beam they are well aimed - see the middle picture

Phil,
there's no middle picture, but if you're saying "dipped" is regular headlights AND "main" are the highbeams, then all is well.
