Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and happy new year from sunny Sydney (finally)!
As always it’s been a pleasure to follow the forum and occasionally contribute.
Hope everyone’s lotus wishes come true and long restorations come to and end in 23, I for one aim to have the 26r back on the track.
If anyone’s planning on a trip down under a n 23 please reach out.

Very Canadian Christmas here in the West Kootenays of BC. 2 feet of snow in 24hr, and -20, how great!

Born, and brought home from the hospital (no seat belt (wtf)) in a baby!

Merry Christmas all!!
My most memorable Xmas gift to myself was 59 years ago when on December 20 I963 I received confirmation from the factory of my Elan1600 (26/0538) Order going to the production line.
Unfortunately I will not be able to drive it tomorrow -the snow is still on the ground but I will look forward to the Xmas drive next year on the 60th anniversary.
Thank you all for the advice and friendship we have shared through the year.

Back atcha one and all!
It's freakishly cold here in the Atlanta area this weekend, so I'm having to pause work on Yelotus for a few days until the garage warms-up a bit, but that should happen by Monday or Tuesday. And if all goes well, I might be able to take the car out for the Polar Bear Run on Jan 1.

Veg, it's Dec 31. Hope your wipers are working. Good chance of rain that day
Yeah, been watching the forecast. Wiper-motor has been out of the car for six years (low priority compared to everything else) and the blades are made of something crumbly that used to be rubber, so if the forecast doesn't change then Yelotus stays home. My modern car is a comfy crossover/SUV type thing that has heated seats and satellite radio. Might be just the thing on such a day. But I also remember the time several years ago when the weather was clear and dry but very cold and I showed up on a motorcycle...but it had heated handgrips and I was wearing an electric-heated jacket! I was prob'ly warmer than most if not all of the drivers of British cars, especially Dan in his TR6 that had no heater since he'd bought it from a Floridian.
But a friend's 19-year-old son may come over for a drive before the rain arrives. Most young kids today aren't interested in old (or any) cars but he is and gives me some hope that at least somebody will carry the torch eventually. Get this: he says that his dream-car is a late-'40s Studebaker!
