Hello everyone, I've just purchased a 1971 Elan with a Spyder chassis and Vegantune modified engine. I'm coming from a 1991 Esprit that I owned for 15 years. I'm looking forward to learning about the Elan and enjoying open top summer driving.

I believe there are a few members here from Long Island. Notably Phil (pharriso here) who will doubtless be along later. Where exactly are you hopefully you can get together.

Hi everyone, thank you all for the welcome. I'm in Port Jefferson, and yea, I grew up in England, in the suburbs of London. I look forward to meeting up, perhaps for a coffee, after I get the car, which will hopefully be this weekend.

Thanks everyone, I'm still waiting for the state DMV to mail me the registration paperwork and plates. They say on their website to expect 10 days after one's online application. So hopefully early this coming week, they have the money... Weather forecast is looking good.
