Hello,
I have been the lucky owner of a Europe Series 1 with integrated chassis and fixed windows...I was frustrated when I had to sell this car so I just bought another one... Of course I also have a soft spot for the early Elan, and for the mythical Elite Type 14 ! Any classic Lotus is so evocative of Chapman's talent and intelligence...

Hello Ernesto,
I also have an S1 Europa - an S1A with the pop-out (fall-out) windows...
as mentioned above, the lotuseuropa.org site is extremely useful

Welcome, Ernesto. As a Europa not-Elan owner (Type 54 Federal), I can attest that the folks here are pretty tolerant of us not-yet Elan owners. I recall passing over a mostly-finished DHC project because I thought $20k was a bit steep. Those were the days! But you can still find plenty of Europas in that space.
I also got the bug considering purchasing an S1 needing chassis from Gary Anderson. It was very reasonably priced, but I felt it a bit much to perform S1 chassis surgery on my first Lotus and by the time that voice had talked me into it, Gary had sold it on. Matilda has been a good choice for me, offering both completeness and performance benefits not available in the 1470. Still, I love the S1's wart-free nose.

Welcome! I've always had a soft spot for the S1 Europe/Europa.
