I?ve been following this forum for a little while and finally decided to join.
Although I don?t specifically own an Elan, I do have a Lotus that was made during the same period (a 23B) and have an interest in the topics that relate to both cars (mainly engine and some suspension topics).

Welcome Paul the fact you haven?t got an Elan is immaterial if you love the marque. I?m sure you can contribute. You might even decide to get one!

If I might suggest you add to your USA location description as I?d be surprised if you don?t have some Lotus neighbours.

You're welcome - nothing wrong with a 23 :)

Hi Paul
Welcome to the forum
I have always lusted after a 23B but their cost has always exceeded what I could justify putting into a race car. I have a few friends racing them here in Australia so if your after information specific to the 23 maybe I can help, and of course lots of help on racing twincams here and what to do not to do

cheers
Rohan

Thanks Rohan, if I have any questions I know where to come.

Sandy, looking forward to seeing your pictures.

Here is a pic of my engine (converted to MoteC injection using TWM throttle bodies).

Thanks. The Motec is also configured for full sequential operation by using the distributor modified for the cam signal. This helps drivability with the big camshafts.

Paul, I think we talked at the car show at the dead mall in the Valley a couple years ago. You showed me your headlight stalks for passing inspection and discussed the weirdnesses of CA registration. Since then my Elan project has been moving along. Soon the shell will be "on". Great to see your car again.

Thanks for the welcome.

John, I think I remember you (planning to build an Elan to a very high standard from memory, and you were visiting Southern California at the time).
