Lotus Elan and Lotus Elan Plus 2 Forums

I'm from the South Coast near Brighton in the UK. I previously owned a Lotus Elise and had it from new, lovely car, but I fancy a classic now. Thinking of an Elan Plus 2 but need to do lots of investigation first. I'm a bit surprised at the prices of these cars to be honest! I've had classics before - four different Triumph Spitfires and a Mk 2 Austin Healey Sprite and I have built a kit car (Robin Hood 2B DOHC, a fat Lotus 7 clone) - so I know my way around an old car.

I'd like to have a look at a few Plus 2s if there are any owners near me just to get a feel for the car prior to going hunting for one of my own. What's the best way to do this, other than to join a Lotus club?

Welcome Jon! I'd offer you a look at my Plus 2 but 1) it's still got no interiour in it and 2) it's over here in the USA.

But yes, classics are great and the Plus 2 especially so (even if I'm a bit biased saying that).
