hi im wal have run a 68 +2 since 1973 50/898 in burnt sand mods include big valve engine 3.54 diff relayed windows and lights and solid rear drive shafts .These I converted from triumph 2000 shafts had to cut an inch off the splines and make new end adapters these have been in use many years no problems .these use uj joints not as good as cvs but much cheaper also no rear wheel bearing problems its the rotoflex couplings that wear them out by putting radial loads on them that they are not designed to take. I had to replace the chassis many years ago lost the back end on a frozen road and bent the front up rights , new galvanized lotus chassis cost ?450 in those days .will post photos when I have worked out how to do it wal
