Australian Lotus Elan

Hi Steve,

Nice to see that things are progressing well. Snap! I'm 6'2" as well. I was initially quite concerned that I couldn't fit. It wasn't helped by a visit to Matty's in 2002. I tried to sit in a FHC with a Spyder roll cage in it. It wasn't an encouraging start. Like you, I find that there is plenty of space. The same goes for my S2 Europa. After reading all the contemporary road tests you would come to the conclusion that anyone over 5'10" should forget about owning one. Whilst not as spacious as the Elan, I do fit and the seat are very comfortable.

All the best with the re-spray and recommissioning.

Regards,

Hi,
I bought the car from an Englishman living in Tasmania, a mate about the same build as me, tall and skinny. You may be my Irish cousin as my mother was a McKenney, her father hailed from Ireland but she was born here.
Cheers

Hi Steve,

I'm actually Scottish but I married an Irish farmer's daughter and she came with abit of land! Give me a shout if there's any specific parts you need and I'll have a look in the spares department.
