Hello everyone. I would like to introduce myself.
My name is Urs. I live in the canton Aargau Switzerland.
I am an all-rounder. I repair almost everything that is of interest to me.
I have a lot of ELAN DNA and fuel in my arteries.
In 1983 at spring i fell in love at first sight, as i saw a red car
named ?Lotus Elan? in a barn. At that time i don?t know what that is.
Opel GT and Audi Quattro was great for me.
14 days later, and less a lot of money he was mine.
A ?Long March? finished today and exorbitant cost later, my S 1?
26 36XX is finished and ready for coffee-races. I?m the second owner of this car.
Before my time, the baby was critical ill.
During the long maintenance, i get gray hairs.
My mother tongue is German, sorry. I try to write everything correctly,

Here a few pictures of my pearl.

Hi
Thank you all for the compliments.
@ Steve It is a never-ending story. The beginning was in 1991 , after a break of
a valve spring. Now is the most Cosworth inside the engine.
The shortest possible response to your question: everything

I love the cam cover colours and how the yellow highlights the LOTUS script.

Good job!

Welcome. A beautiful car - very nice work. Don't worry about your English, its better than my non-existent German.

congratulation for the nice work, a labor of love indeed as most Lotus stories...

I noted the '91 photo showed bolt on Magna J.A.P. rims : do you still have them ? I have a set of knock on ones, still in need refurbishment... but I have other items higher in my todo list : as you say, a never ending story.

Thank you. Yes I have them again. See picture "August 2016"
The wheel hub is a specialty. I have them myself made.
Whenever the car stops, "Lotus" emblems are ready for the fotoshooting. The same on steering!!
I have never seen this twice.

very nice ! you must have put a clear coat to keep the nice tone... any wallnut/soda blasting prior to that ? My problem is that a couple of mine have some dings or scratches that I would like filled before finishing, and I could not find around someone I would trust to TIG them - so I may give it a try myself at some point. They must be 5.5" right ? no issue clearing the front fenders ? on my car it is very close when braking in curves (typically taking a friend around for a track day...), and it's an S4...

I too have opted for an alternate air filter, same location - but I don't have the servo brake on mine, I like the direct feeling.

lovely car indeed !
