Hello: my new year's resolution is......

to finally get an Elan Sprint !
It is something that I have been thinking about for some time and am now determined to purchase one this year. In my youth I had a Europa Twin Cam and a Europa Special, and more recently a MK1 Elise for 9 years ( wish I'd kept it ! ). However I always fancied an Elan and am now in the market to once again have some fun in a Lotus.
I have really enjoyed reading this forum and learning more about them......the knowledge on here is amazing !

Hi there, Happy new year and welcome.

I was looking for a Sprint for a long time and was ignoring everything else. But in the end I bought an upgraded 1967 S3 and I couldn't be happier. The improved performance of a Sprint coupled with the much better looks (to my eye at least) of the earlier models. Fair bit cheaper too.

Good luck, you will enjoy whichever Elan you buy.
