I had the painter yesterday, and he told me that Cirrus White is veeerrry different from the white I actually have, so I had to take the decision to repaint all the white on the car.. Fingers crossed for getting the right paint.. !

Finally got the car from the paintshop !
And I must admit I'm a little bit confused..
The Cirrus White (L 04) seems very yellowish to me. He did a great job with the car, but I'm very unsure about having the right white. I gave him the paintcode I found on lotuselansprint.com and he found the reference in his computer.

Sorry for the crappy phone pics, I will try to take some more with correct white balance.

I really love this white, it gaves the car an "older" look than the "fridge white" previously on the car, but I also wanted to have those genuine look.

Confused.. :?

It looks correct to me in your photos.
From memory Cirrus white is a slightly creamy shade of off-white.

new paint would reflect the surrounding more than one may be accustomed to, and would be more changing under ambient light condition as well (including color temperature from artificial light)... I'm no expert but I don't see anything obviously wrong with the shade as pictured, Lotus Cirrus white is a bit more yellow than a fridge (but less than Jaguar old english white I believe), and if a decent quality paint has been prepared according to the formula (no pigment missing in the machine etc) the result should be very close to specs.

looking forward to seeing it "in real life"...

My Cirrus White car looks very creamy in some lights.

Don't worry just enjoy!

It does indeed! I can only hope that my Plus 2 might have such nice paint someday. Hats off to your gorgeous paint and enjoy the admiring looks you'll be getting!

looks terrific !

ps: on my car I have the trunk handle rotated by 1/4 turn (horizontal when locked) : clearance with the lid is improved when closing.

Thank you Nicolas. I was unsure about how to turn properly this handle and I found contradictory informations about the angle. I find "my" configuration easier to use, but less pleasant for the eye..

Will you go to SCCT trackday at Magny Cours in October ?

The trackday went surprisingly great ! It went like a dream, I took lot of pleasure driving it on the track and made more than 150 miles on the track. I just had 2 problems :
- The battery came off the brackets and bumped on the inner of the rear left wing, slightly damaging it
- I lost ALL the rear left wheel pegs ! Hopefully it happened just on the very last session, but I've had checked if the wheels were well tightened just after the lunch, and they were perfectly fitted. Don't know what could have happened ?

And the Michelin 155r80 are not built to go on a track, as I already know !
