new member with car to sell 1968 elan coupe se

PostPost by: restorer » Wed Nov 25, 2015 9:14 pm

Hi I am a retired restorer and have a friend living in France he as decided to sell his 1968 Elan Coupe SE black badge model it as been restored new body, chassie, suspension ect. reconditioned engine, painted in french blue.
He as had the car for a long time it was registered in UK and when I saw it this year it still had UK number plates. He as asked me to help him sell the car. The car doors do not fit correctly the chrome trim window frames that he purchased have been lost, so it still neads a little sorting. He also said it had done 300 to 400 miles since restoration.
Could anyone please advice on value and where to advertise

Welcome,
may I ask if it is LHD or RHD ?
As LHD it might be better trying to sell on the continent, even with UK plates ... (to me for example :D )

Best regards

Search long & hard for those window frames as they are next to impossible to obtain now.

Where is the vehicle in France?

There is an Elan specialist near Dieppe whose knowledge is second to none, I cant recall his d?tails but I went there because a forum member had donated me his old chassis when the guy fitted a new one amongst other restoration work.

The best place to sell it in France is on Leboncoin.fr, even though registration wont be a problem your friend will get far more interest if it is on French plates.
