Welcome Steve, this is indeed the place you need to be. Have you owned a Lotus before or is this your first indulgence? There are quite a few nice ones that come on to the market
happy hunting
all the best

Hi Stuart , this will be my first lotus , I've been admiring the plus 2 for years now and saw them frequently as a child in the seventies .. I'm getting on now and need to experience ownership :) don't want to leave it too late lol

Hi Steve,
Good luck with the search. I'm sure if you post your interests on here you will get lots of good advice as to what's good or bad to buy. I bought a basket case to completely rebuild (probably about half way through) but I wish I had contacted the guys (and gals) on here first, I think my bank balance would have been a lot healthier
All the best,
Kev.

Hi Steve,
Yes good luck with the search.Any reason it has to be a 5 speed,a lot more choice with the 4 speed and arguably nicer box too.Great choice in car either way :)
regards

Hi Steve

There are a few of us in Essex on here. I am in Colchester but there are a few in South Essex as well.
Where abouts are you?

hi and thank you all for a great welcome :)
firstly John ..thanks for the link and yes thats a great looking lotus..webasto roof lets it down though
Kev...well thats pretty much what I'm looking for but not a complete rebuild..something with maybe a excellent interior and the outside to re-spray.
Paul...not particulally a 5 speed a 4 speed will be great too :)
Jason...im in Corringham just below Basildon for my sins lol

Not far and you have a couple in Baddow as well.

I like the rag sunroof :) In the summer it gets really warm in the cockpit, a bit more fresh air would be great.

Zoom in on the map to find cars near you.
