Hi all,
Just joined and looking to gather info on the Baby Lotus Elan in an effort to ensure I have as much info and expertise at my hands when I finally manage to pick up the right car. Just missed out on an S2 restoration project but will continue the search.

Currently driving a Lotus Elan M100 se, enjying the Lotus experience but appreciate the M100 is not everyone Lotus enthusiasts car of choice :) However it is giving plenty of smiles and many many admiring glances from passers by.

Look forward to catching up with a few of you on here if you are in the Preston area, I am a club lotus member and have been to a couple of local Lotus meetings but yet to get fully engaged which will occur this summer

Cheers Gareth, I did the Serpentine run last year and really enjoyed it, just watching the pennies at present as I'm heading to the Le Mans Classic but hope to make this years serpentine run if I can.

John, Thanks for the heads up, I think I'd better learn quickly then, you guys are quick off the mark that's for sure.......Original Elan it is then

Hello Rob and welcome,
This forum has been a great help to me as a relative beginner. Someone is always able to help.
I am not far from you and am happy for you to look at my car if there is anything that needs checking.
I hope to see you at the meetings at the White Crow soon, but I am having some difficulty getting there myself at the moment.
There is a method on here of sending a PM (personal message) for contact details etc. which we would not like to be on the internet. Please feel free to ask me if you think I can be useful.
Eric in Burnley,
1967 S3SE Type 45

Many Thanks Eric, always useful to know of a well sorted car local and someone who has been through the restoration process who is willing to share some of that experience.
Will be trying to get to the White Crow in the future and meeing a few local Lotus entusiasts. :)
