Returning Lotus owner

I'm new to this Forum - but my recently acquired 1968 S4 FHC Elan is my fourth Lotus since my first 45 years ago. My first was a 1960 Series 1 Climax engined Seven, followed by an S3 FHC Elan and then an S3 Seven. I certainly wish that Brian Buckland's book had been available first time around!
My present car had a leaking core plug when I got it and while the engine was out it made sense to give it an overhaul together with the steering rack and brakes. All seems OK at the moment and I am getting some steady running in miles on the clock.
