I just purchased my 2nd elan, the first being In 1965. It's an s3 coupe and I have probably spent 100 hour in the garage with it. I previously also had a super 7 and lotus 23.
I love these cars. I do a lot of vintage racing in a ginetta g4 ( not mine) and previously did a lot of professional racing, having won 19 IMSA gat races including 2x at 24 hr of Daytona and 3x at 12hr of Sebring. I also did lemans with TWR silk cut jaguar.
I am semi restoring the elan to drive kind of fast non the street...no track.

Hi and welcome, this is the best forum Elan.
I just looked up your interests and you've got quite some racing history. Le Mans 1989 must have been awesome as it was the last race the Mulsanne straight was truly fast before they put the 2 chicanes in. I spectated the following year, when Jaguar did a lot better. Regards John

Welcome Jeff I hope. You can inject some humour into this almost comatose group most of my racing was low budget FV in the North East region SCCA and CASC .For 30 years but im retired now As witnessed by people pointing and staring when I walk and draw a crowd when I get into my 7 with a kilt on D ed
dont close your eyes --you will miss the crash
