Not a Lotus

But it does have a Lotus engine. Followed me home today. Probably shouldn't keep it long.

It looks happy to me, maybe it should stay!

I'm running out of space, Henry. It's starting to look like a junkyard over here.

Not many of those around! I have some NOS parts and a lot of new Churchill dealer repair tools if you need anything. Eric in South Carolina, USA

I'm thinking I'll enjoy it for a bit and then sell it on. It's a neat car, but I do not do bodywork. The car needs rockers and floors. I'd be far upside-down if I paid to have that done.

Excuse my ignorance but what is it?

Few more details and photos might assist your sale.

Steve, it’s a Federal Jensen Healey.

I always thought the three door coupe version more desirable.

Ah of course, I ought to have recognised it but those ugly side marker lamps change it for me. An old landlord of my first house away from home had one and it was parked almost daily outside as his office was next door.. he arrived with a big roll of carpet for my house one day, one end in the passenger footwell the other hanging over the boot. Very sore knees after fitting it.

Cool cars. Glad Montana is not close to NC, or I might have to help you out... even with the rubber bumpers! 60s/70s US regulation sure did make cars less attractive and less fun.

It's a 1974 Jensen Healey. Five-speed car. Hard and soft tops. Runs, drives, shifts and stops well, although front end is not as tight as it should be. I took this car from a friend who was not at all mechanical. He put thousands in the car over the past few years including a new head, complete brake system including booster. Excellent seats. rough dash. Significant rust in floors and both rocker panels. More fun to drive than I would have expected. Recently took for fairly long drive in the mountains, where it performed well.

I thought the car was sold, but the buyer has gone dark. Fire sale for the next couple of weeks or until the snow begins to fly. Then it will be tucked in the far back of the garage until spring.
