very sure, you like I understand some of the golden rules.
I do doubt the rules apply to everyone, and some have time to voice negativity (lengthy or not).
we must take others birth marks with a grain of salt.
I grew up beside a (public) golf course, the rule was, hit 4 balls and only carry 3 clubs (#2 also works as a putter, #9, and #2-driver.) of course we had to wait for people to pass sometimes. the beauty was, early or late in the day. hop the fence, and have some fun. we had memberships, but didn't respect the sign up all the time.
so if you take golf as fitness, chasing balls is in fact excellent exercise (jogging after 4 balls not just 1). like everything in life, its what you put into it.
I will add that now, I use my clubs for live target practice. Many squirrels in the area, though I have probably never hit one. they get the idea-(those are my nuts)
