Well, today is the end of the road for my Elan ownership adventure. The new owner collected it today.

Bye bye, Old Girl.

I'm sorry to see it go, but I will be able move on to other things now. I'll keep an eye on the forum but basically that's it from me. Thanks to everyone for helping me over the last two and a half years. I hope the new owner joins up, he's a really nice fellow with some very interesting stories to tell.

Your Pal

Now you're free to get yourself a Morris Minor and drop a 2.0 Zetec in it....

John ;-)

Sorry to see you go Jon. It's been a pleasure to read your posts and follow the problems / resolutions you've had. A bit like an on line version of Wheeler Dealers (or should that be Car SOS?)

Hey Jon,
You’ve sold your car?

I wondered why it had gone quiet

Good luck with your next project.

Likewise, Graeme!

I am sure we will meet again. Probably at Goodwood, where no doubt your Exige will rip whatever car I have to shreds on the track!

It was a sad day to have sold the Exige. It was running 340 bhp and was very nicely set up, but I needed the money for the 26 GTS project...…..which is coming on.

Jon,

It was good to meet you at Goodwood and lotuselan.net will definitely be a less colourful place without you. Good luck, enjoy whatever you get next and stay safe.

Paddy

So you are off. That should quieten things down a bit around here!

I hear you may be after a nice MBG to restore? :) Good Luck with whatever you do next.

Say it ain't so Jon!

I would never have guessed that you wanted to part with the Plus 2!

I hope this isn't the last we see of you around here.

I imagine you mean MGB.
If so you'll need to improve your welding skills for all the rust

You worked hard on that car and the new owner is lucky to have a well sorted and documented motor.
I too have enjoyed reading about your trials and tribulations.
I was surprised when you said you were going to sell you're obviously a project person - maybe when you decide what that is you could tip us off and we might drop in and see what you're up to!
All the best
Mark
