Currently, I believe 8, for rodent control here on the farm. Only three actually pay their way though.

I've always had cats and dogs but haven't had the heart to replace my blue healer that passed a few years ago. He was such a good dog that I'm afraid I would be disappointed with anything less.

Understood about your loss. Blue heelers are amazing dogs. We never thought we would get another dog, but an English Pointer from the pound adopted us and it's been a wonderful life ever since....

I've tried very hard to resist this particular topic of discussion but here you go - cat and dog.

Both car and cat attract similar reactions / aspirations as Lyons appreciated when he needed a name for Swallow Sidecars after Germany's antics rendered the original unmarketable

My wife and I have been married for 52 years, and we have always had cats. My dad was a large animal vet and horse trainer, but he always brought home strays and lost animals. At home we had cats and dogs, as well as bunnies, birds, and fish?plus a raccoon.
After I married Carol, because we weren?t home a lot, both with work and racing cars; we settled on cats as they were more independent, and as long as we had someone feed them, they were perfectly happy. We have one indoor cat and one outdoor cat that sleeps in my ?62 Elite.

Hi there, I own both a Lotus elan and two Cats (ore animals that resemble cats) .
One of them likes to sit in the footwell of the elan and get taxied up and down the driveway!
If I ever work on the car, he is there. If the door is open, he'll do his best to hop aboard!
The big problem is the constant desire to pluck the seats, as a result I can ever leave a door open with them around ore else they would wreck the interior! :o

Dogs want masters, cats want Staff.
Three Lotus, one St Bernard, one cavalier and a toy poodle (I know, I know.....)

I currently have one cat, Ernie, and two Lotus cars. In the past I had more cats, but Lotus and cat does seem to go together. A neighbor cat sleeps in my Elite. I?ve wondered if the sweet smell of polyester might appeal to them. At one time I had a Lotus 23 body in the corner of my living room, and my wife took a photo with our two cats looking out through the head light holes. ;-)

If I can find it, I'll post it. The problem is i have a bunch of those big plastic bins filled with photos, and I haven't looked at them in years, like 20.

Highland dogs. Westie and Scottie. Never had a cat.

Unfortunately the Westie passed around a year ago.

Here is an old photo of Abigail one of my Scotties inspecting my Elan +2 spyder chassis. She was outside with me whenever I worked on the Lotus. The other Scottie preffered to be in the house.
