The 12th Annual
Serpentine Charity Run
Presented by the
Cheshire Lotus Owners Group and The Lotus Driver Club
Sunday the 25th June 2017
Open to all types of classic cars, sports cars and classic motorbikes the event will start from 9:30am at the historic Buxton Devonshire Dome (University of Derby, Buxton Campus SK17 6RY) and involve a route though the Peak District National Park and some of the UK?s most beautiful scenery.
Entrants will be given their route maps at the registration point and from where they will also be started at regular intervals. The start point allows for the use of the cafeteria and facilities and alongside the refreshments (free tea and coffee) there will be bacon sandwiches available to purchase at a small cost.
The journey will be approximately 100miles and will involve several stops at places of interest as well as stops for refreshments, pub lunch, picnic etc and will culminate in a display of all the cars at the finish line in one of the Peak Districts historic locations (it?s a secret until you get there) around mid afternoon.
This is not a race and the planned journey time though the Peak District is to be around 4 hours to allow you to enjoy the scenery, stop for lunch or a picnic as well as enjoy your driving experience.
There will be an entry fee of ?15, which should enable a substantial donation to the chosen local charities to benefit.

CLOGs probably.......at least 3 or 4 usually........
I know I shouldnt say this but most people leave it to the day
see if its raining or not and then decide..........
that's all ok but it usually causes catering chaos when the bacon runs out and theres still a queue.......

good to see you all on Sunday.......
hope you all enjoyed the 'run' and sorry I missed you at the end......we'd had a bit of a melt down in the car and needed to stop for a pub lunch.........needless to say that once the kids were fed all was well again and they promptly fell asleep but delayed our journey time by enough to miss you........
catch you soon
the wedding car looked stunning too
cheers

Yes it was a very pleasant outing despite the light drizzle in the morning. The hood remained down, of course. Disappointing was the lack of support from the Cheshire Lotus Owners Group, I was looking forward to meeting up with the other august members.
