Wanted: Accomodation in London

apart from my Lotus life ('71 FHC S4/Sprint), I work worldwide as a free-lancer. My pincipal home is in Germany.
As it comes, I will be located in central London for the rest of the year, travelling to and fro on weekends. So I am looking for accomodation for me, and every once in a while, for the Elan that I use as a more or less daily driver also here in Germany. Needless to say that it is not so easy to find accomodation in this expensive city...
So, should anyone of you have an interest to rent out a room or a small flat to a fellow Lotus bug-bitten guy, or share a house somewhere in or around central London, I would be delighted to hear from you.
I am 47 years old, easy to get along with and what's more of positive habits that you could think of.
I could also think of intermediate housing, i.e., just a month mor two. One would have to see if it fits for both parties anyway, right?
