May I just point out that that is not a tank and the driver does not sit (or stand) in the cupola.

See me afterwards, Thomas.

Powerful sorry Cap'n Wilkes sir!

perhaps it should have read

Stig is anointed as Pope and is paraded in a motorised gun to deliver petition to the BBC?

I was doing what my Mummy told me not to do, and that was to believe what I read in the newspapers, her admonition would no doubt have been extended to digital forms of the media if she had lived to see them.

I can hear her now....

Franklin Thomas, you must not do as others do and believe or accept everything at face value,( in a Dutch accent)

My name is Alan of course but Moeder liked to use my middle name which she had chosen but Daddy who chose the name Alan (English ex RAF bomber crew) wouldn't allow the initials FAT to be used on my monogrammed items, she never accepted this and delighted in making my childhood a confused and surreal experience.

Breaking news......... Clarkson Sacked

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-32052736

Jeremy Clarkson's contract will not be renewed after a physical altercation with a producer, the BBC's director general Tony Hall has said.

Lord Hall said he had "not taken this decision lightly" and recognised it would "divide opinion".

Who will replace him on Top Gear?

Will there still be a Top Gear?

What about Hamster and Captain Slow?

Millions of mindless morons in shock, myself included

Sounds like they are trying to get the last episodes finished and there also looking at reinventing Topgear for 2016 which tbh it was starting to need.

Well i know its bad news Clarkson has gone but in all seriousness you can't get away with acting like a big kid in this day and age, if he thought he was bigger than the show he doesn't today. After all the covered up incidents coming out of the BBC i can understand why they have made a high profile example. TBH he's lucky he didn't get done for assault just to finish it off, the Producer involved seems to have handled it very well.

Just hope its not Chris Evans that takes over (can't stand him)

Question:
Has JC been sacked or is Auntie just not renewing his contract .... Not so subtle difference.
Seems to me that somebody has been very savy in this whole affair and will probably end up with a better paying contract at the end of it.
Not such a punishment after all.

This says allot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6cfFnBNELs

As for carefully orchestrated to get out of his contract, well i don't think so some how. If he did then was the Assault charge just for Publicity?? Personally i think he's mixed lots of red wine, a Huge ego/bit of Megalomania and some anger at missing the kitchen. The result being a Biblical teddy throwing episode.

I think the BBC have tried to make the departure as Amicable as possible for the sake of the Victim, the profile of this may have serious consequences for him.

Sadly I have no doubt the egotistical bully will prosper.

Glad the BBC had the b*lls to get rid of him. (perhaps in anticipation an assault charge?)

I didn't realise his victim had to attend A&E.

Why don't we vote for 3 characters off these forums to replace the Top Gear team just for fun?

I propose the following for no particular reason.

TRW99 Tim Wilkes to replace James May ( Captain Slow)
512BB Leslie to replace Richard Hammond ( The Hamster )
Elanintheforest Mark to replace Jeremy Clarkson ( big tall gobby bloke)
