Hi James.

I'm working to bring an Elan body and chassis from the UK to Newark, NJ, via ocean freight.

To offer a data point, a dedicated 20-foot container is at least 2000 GBP from the UK to the east coast USA. Air freight shipment would be over 2000 GBP.

My recommendation, talk to someone like Wayne Carini of F40 Motorsports in CT,or even Dave Bean in CA,and see what they recommend.

There will likely be:

1. local DDR shipping costs
2. potential crating or tie down costs
3. broker costs
4. customs costs (should be relatively small - about 3% I think on parts)
5. port congestion costs
6. international shipping costs
7. local delivery costs

Money solves most problems. I hope this helps.

Bill
