Looks like a ton of fun batfish, I presume you avoided the bad weather and nasty avalanche activity - that was a couple of months ago wasn't it?

yes it was great, 2nd time I have been there.
The snow and avalanches were 2 weeks before my trip and localised to the Annapurna region. Everest region only had a dusting of snow, it was busy though as the trails were stlll closed around Annapurna so more trekkers in the Khumba. 4 Aussies from Melborne in the group.
Where were the mountains you went climbing?
Andy

We were at Blue Lake in late October - chasing "climb-able" snow late in the season. In previous years around August we've had good blue ice on the rock & the lake has been very frozen!

We parked the vehicles at Charlotte Pass for this trip, mid season it's over snow transport from Perisher or ski in from Guthega.
