Panshangar to Remain Open!

PostPost by: trw99 » Fri Sep 05, 2014 8:21 am

I have just had a message from Malcom Ricketts:

"You may be aware that Panshanger is about to close. They are having a final event featuring aerobatic displays etc. throughout the day. I have been asked if I can arrange a number of Lotus cars for display purposes in a privileged parking area. I have contacted Club Lotus to ask them to send out an announcement to Herts/Beds and Bucks members. Sunday 14th September - from 10 a.m. onwards. Sorry about short notice, was only mentioned to me yesterday."

If any one is in the area and wishes to doff their cap on our behalf to this piece of Lotus history, please do run along!

Good news! It seems that the local council have done a U turn and decided that Panshanger is to remain an aerodrome.

Thus a small yet important part of Lotus history is maintained.
