Hi SJ (first name?),
I like watching this thread.
So I'm guessing you don't run any type of bladder tank?
The "slosh" seal actually seals the internals of the monocoque?
What sealant do you use for this process.

I'm sure I'll get to meet you and a few other members on this forum at PI in March.
I am quite involved with the HSRCA here in NSW.
I'm bringing my Elfin NG for the 50th aniversary of Fvee in Aus.

Regards Daniel

G'day Daniel, glad you're enjoying the thread, hopefully the project will bear some fruit before long!

We've used a special paste that we troweled on in conjunction with the rivet assembling of the skins onto the skeleton, then more paste when putting end caps, brake lines & so forth on & then finally a syrup in the rotisserie slosh process - so tankage remains an integral part of the tub (as originally configured) - so I think we should be pretty right in not falling foul of the 5th Category CAMS general requirements that call for FIA Approved safety tanks "except where the fuel tank is located wholly within the chassis frame"!

PI should be good! (We're hoping to take the Mono to Mallala at the end of April, so I better get back out to the man cave!)

Cheers James

I'm thinking that an exhaust to these Hart specs might be a good starting point

Have a look at the burnsstainless.com site. They make a significant difference with a 4 to 1 system on a twin cam

cheers

Will do Rohan, I've got a work up from them somewhere - they were doing something tricky with the primaries - increasing diameter primaries or something from memory.

Ta, it's a Bugatti Blue, taking a bit of a punt - it might be a bit darker than original, I've yet to have a look.

I'll try to get there, need me to bring any spanners?

I should have the spanners covered thanks. I hope I won't need them!
Are you going to have two colours listed in your COD?

It's just about time to source a set of tyres to mount on new mags that are currently being cast.

Rubber will be Avon 8.2/22.0 - 13 and 10.5/23.0 - 13
