Well I always open and check every single package I get, except this time. Boy did I blow it! Over a year ago I bought an S2 windshield (never used on eBay) from a fellow Elan owner. I actually bought several things and when I opened up the boxes all was fine so I never thought twice about the windshield. I just kept it all wrapped up and stored gently until I needed it. Tonight I unwrapped it because I was going to replace my current windshield along with the frame (have spare). You guessed it was broken. Actually it looked like it had been dropped hard, but I remember when I got the box it was in great shape, and everything was packed really good. Way to late to collect on it so my loss, but oh what a loss. I'm kicking myself because I know how expensive they are.

Boy, have you messed up my comfort zone. I had two windshields shipped from the UK for my other LBC, and have left them in the shipping container for over a year, without opening the container. I think I'll just try to forget your post until I get around to checking the package.
