What have you found in your car's nose cone?

Today, I thought I'd remove the headlamp pods and clear out all the leaves and other debris that had collected over the years. Amongst the twigs, leaves and dirt I found two golf balls (one under each pod), a marble and a lump of coal.

Anyone had any interesting finds?

An original air filter housing that wasn't rusted to F*#k

A set of "Maserati" air horns, obviously from another make of car :?

Usually a spanner from my last visit there. I'm surprised how long things can stay in there!

Gary,
Why do you think I keep the cats locked indoors when you and Beau visit? I don't want either of them to become tunnel treasures, even though the little f*ckers often deserve it. To answer Dario's original question, just dirt and grit.

I found half a decomposing badger lodged over a rear axle of a van once. The driver had hit it about a month earlier and came into the garage for a new front bumper and a service. I removed badger free of charge; "all part of the service sir"!

I did not find a lot in my nose=cone; mostly lots of leaves.

Three inches of water, comprehensively soaking the wiring loom and causing all manner of electrical issues. Why does a drain hole block perfectly on its own and I cannot get my sump sealed?

That the best comment I have read in a long time --- it is such a Lotus classic design feature I guess!!!!
I have had the same problem but in addition the drain hole in my Elan is of course at a high point so even when not blocked water collects

cheers
