Yes, I had to make the cut out in the cross member. Many thanks to Rob (Netec99) for letting me measure his chassis.

I bought a late body (there's a number on the inside of the drivers door which is actually about 10 higher than the last reported Plus 2 ever made !), with early running gear (1969 VIN) and an unused chassis. Everything was fully stripped. I'll do a write up soon - but don't expect anything as polished as Gary's (Pissant).
It's all MattElan's fault - he made me buy it - I wanted a Stag but have no room to do all the welding.

Spyder date the chassis as late 1980's but wouldn't quote me to mod it to take the Zetec - they wanted me to buy a new chassis

After the recent floods in the UK, this is my garage. Lotus bits are in the room next door. House & +2 safe, garage flooded...

I just read the earlier post requesting my garage photos be posted here. The garage does not have a mezzanine. I have high ceilings in anticipation of storage lifts. I also wanted the garage architecture to look similar to my home. Even though I have 8 acres of land there was only one place I could reasonably place the garage.

The garage is now full of cars and crap. I have a 1963 Jaguar Mk2 disassembled awaiting transport to the body shop. I also have my car trailer taking up the large center bay.

my elan +2 is now on jack stands. I have a lot of work to do not the least is replacing the rear suspension spring top abutments and removing the transmission. So it goes.
My TVR is at the upholstery shop. I have no idea where it will go. I assume a careful rearranging will provide room. My wife appreciates the garage for things such as winter storage of outdoor furniture.

I could take a photo of the interior as it is now. Unfortunately the clutter is unbearable and I will photograph the shop once I have it all organized. As if it ever is really organized. I have one workbench presently cluttered with the bits of a Jaguar front suspension assembly. It has more parts than an entire elan. I was quite amazed. I ordered Jaguar parts from David Manners in the UK on Monday morning (11AM UK time) . The DHL driver was here at my home on Tuesday 1PM U.S. time. I did not believe it.
