Yellow Elan with Roll Bar siteing Tahoe area

I don't see Elans on the road outside of meet for 10 years, and I see 2 in a month on the road. This one was yellow with a roll bar and it was spotted on Sunday at Spooner Summit near Lake Tahoe and again last night going down highway 50 toward Carson City, NV. To be honest I couldn't tell the series because it happen too fast and I was going the opposite direction. Anyone know who this might be?
