Maybe this forum is spiraling down again and folks don't want to see there work lost. I don't think thats the case but it seems a bit odd. Most sites I go to have a lot of fluff and take some time to load, I am never sure what the hell is going on, with dial-up I don't get the instantaneous response and it leaves me wondering what the programmers are harvesting as when I do finally get the page to show up there is no explaining the tiny photos with a bit of text and drop down menus that show up. Anyway I stopped clicking on this kind of topic, If you don't want to post it here I wonder what the reason are. I guess what I am saying if you got something to show us, do it here. If you have a good topic it will be read, if not then it "fifo or gigo" away like the rest. I've started some good ones but most are losers and soon disappear thankfully, I hope that this is one of those losers.

I take it that you are talking about the adverts.
The webmaster Jeff has chosen to allow adverts selected by Google to appear at various points on the pages. Each time these are clicked a tiny tiny bit of money is added to Jeff's Google account and helps support the website.
The adverts are selected by Google depending on the contents of the page, but also on whatever Google knows about your personal browsing habits. See

Advertisers supply adverts to Google for them to select and regrettably advertisers LOVE moving pictures and so waste much of our precious bandwidth downloading this stuff and waste our CPU power & make browsing sluggish. But there's not a lot we can do about it because that's the way the Internet pays for itself nowadays.
