Amusing commentary from Jalopnic http://jalopnik.com/dany-bahar/
Lotus have sailed some treacherous waters in the past, but none as bad as they face now... I fear for their survival as a manufacturer of cars.

Perhaps timely programming. Ironic to watch it now, given that when produced in 2011 it was pretty much a flirt piece for Bahar (commissioned by him no doubt)
I guess hindsight is convenient, but it's clear now how much Lotus had lost the plot under Bahar......handmade cars? Nah, those deadlines and repetitive mechanical tasks assigned to the workers come right out of Henry Ford's production line principles....imagine working with a countng down digital clock above your head, knowing that if you don't meet your assigned time to get your bit done, production schedules will be thrown out of whack.
So different than when I visited the factory in 1986 and 1991.....when the workers were only too happy to take time out to tell you what they were doing....imagine tapping one of today's Lotus workers on the shoulder and asking him / her about the car they were assembling!
Meanwhile the shinybums were courting irrelevant rock and rap royalty for the sake of company image......
Hope it can get back on track.
