Now there is a thing!

28 years off the road (in a garage)

Billwill - I know it is in the wrong section but Resurection - 1967 Elan SE FHC 36/6900 was already here and you disagree with having more sections to put "restorations" in.

Huh? I don't recall ever saying anything like that. I do recall saying that invariably some people, especially beginners, often manage to post in the wrong section and that is one reason why a webmaster should not create too many sections.

Great acquisition, congratulations! Would love to see/hear about the resurrection. Photos are encouraged.

Billwill - Apologies, I'll agree that my recollection of what you wrote is as inaccurate as yours - so to simplify, I want more sections on this site... You don't.

elanern - Thanks, almost roadworthy now.

I really enjoy reading and seeing pictures of other people's restorations. I would do my own but it is a lot of effort and without a separate section for "restorations" or "projects" I feel it would get lost in all of the other unrelated posts. Just try a search for "S3 restoration? how many restoration stories do you see?

Jeff - Please can we have a restoration section? There must be a fair few people here with restoration as their main interest.

...or am I alone, in my darkened garage late at night needing to look at lots of detailed pictures of someone else?s car.

I always glance at "view new posts" and never notice what section anything is in. If it`s of interest I read it, if it`s from someone interesting then I read it anyway.

Trusting that I'm not on your "ignore" list and will get to see it  I offer the following for your perusal:

There was a discussion on that very question raised by Dave (bilcoh) in this thread:

IIRC I forgot to suggest they be treated as a read-only account to keep any narrative flowing without interruptions from all the "matters arising"

Cheers - Richard
