The series 4 Lotus 7 is the least loved of the bunch, but this must be seriously undervalued. Described as restored with only 300 odd miles since rebuild, complete with Lotus twincam which must be worth 5k on it's own, even the number plate is nice. Probably won't hang around at this price, serious good fun for the summer! 8)

I'm not too convinced...still looks like a bit of a beach buggy to me! Give me an S2 or S3 everytime, but I guess they are double the price and more.

But for pretty much the same price, how about a supercharged Griff 500....400 bhp in something the same weight as a Plus 2....nippy!

I think that the sidescreens together with the windscreen frame are long long unavailable.

In fact it was Weathershields throwing away the tooling that led to the re-introduction of the traditional S3 Lotus7.

That said sidescreens are not impossible to make.

Those door shut lines are seriously ugly ......makes my drivers side door look quite a good fit :D

Salut

The price makes it look less ugly.

Didn't the S4s have a bonded chassis? That would make me think more than twice.

As for the TVR, that's just dangerous :)

Morning Vernon,

I was referring to those horrible hinge lines on modern TVR's. I always thought old TVR's were nice looking cars. I nearly bought a Vixen but I got "pipped at the post"

The S4 7's OK, not as nice as S1 to 3 but OK

Thanks for all the comments guy's. Looks like I'm in a bit of a minority with this one, but I would rather have a genuine Lotus 7 even an S4 than a continuation by Caterham or Westfield et al. I still think it's ridiculously cheap.

They may be ugly but a well set up S4 twin cam seven is a seriously quick car in anybodys terms.

cheers
