Just one? so how does that happen

I was doing a search and found an old post (not what I was looking for really)
elan-f15/more-than-one-lotus-t18800-15.htmlThe last post put a nail in the coffin so I figured that maybe the question should have been.
Is one enough? If so what happens when it breaks?
The other question is if you don't have an Elan yet, how long have you been looking? What seems to be the problem that you can't find the right one?

No, one is not enough. I will shortly be on the prowl for another Lotus as that is my M.O...............
I buy several of the current marque I am touting, then I ponder, why I buy two or three of the same marque..........
I think it is referred too as ADD.

Hi Gary,
I'm planning a new garage before getting any more. Two seems to be more than enough when only one person in the household will ever drive them. Mrs T is insured for both cars, but doesn't dare play with my toys in case she breaks one! My brother will probably drive one of the cars to the shows next year, but I will try to stay off track if he's driving to avoid any sibling rivalry and tears before bedtime, he's bloody properly quick on track.
A running car and a project sounds familiar to me over the last 18 months, but it hasn't been sitting in my drive or garage for that time.
