Aside from the usual car-related rags, which magazines do you folks read?

Here are a couple I really could not be without:

I have a lifetime subscription to the magazine of the South Devon Flower Arranging and Bum Pummeling Club. When we left England in 2001 the flower arranging side of things was in decline, however I'm given to understand that bum pummeling still flourishes on the fringes of Dartmoor.

As a slight aside, I have just returned from the annual visit to the Post Office in our small market town high street for Christmas stamps. I also popped in to our newspaper shop to see if there were any interesting new magazines on the lower shelves.

Well, I counted a dozen marque or model specific car mags - 911, Land Rover, VW, VW Bus (!), Audi, Porsche, BMW etc. It got me thinking; was there room for a Lotus title too? I suspect not since total production of all Lotus' would probably be less than Audi's annual production and therefore such a mag would probably not be commercially viable.

The other thing that hit me squarely between the eyes was the number of January edition classic mags that featured the MGB 50th on their covers, with special pull out features inside. So no doubt the February edition will be covering the 50th of the Cobra, March the 50th of the Cortina, April the 50th of the Spitfire, May the 50th of the 1100 ...

I'm currently reading the Architectural Ironmongery Journal. Previously known as the GAI Journal (Guild of Architectural Ironmongers), it's belovedly referred to as the GAY TIMES in this household! Having spent many years contributing to the industry and passing the relevant Guild exams and standards I am entitled to place the letters Dip. GAI after my name and be proud......... http://www.gai.org.uk/

However, I keep seeing this magazine in my dreams :?

Right now I just get Writers Digest, and that?s only because my niece was selling magazines for school. It was really the only ?book related? magazine she was selling, hence me getting it even though I have no aspirations to write. But it?s been fun to flip through, and they?ve had some interesting interviews. The last issue (October?) it was Alice Walker.

I let my subscription to RT lapse, and I really need to reinstate it. The reviews aren?t really helpful (to me anyway) but it?s a fantastic one-stop for getting plot descriptions. And oh, how I love reading me some plot descriptions?.
