Maureen M wrote:Hi Vernon - thanks for posting the cover pictures. I found Part 2 on Amazon, but for sale, not for download onto Kindle. I can't buy from Amazon because of price - there is so much theft at the airport and post office here that anything ordered from Amazon has to come via courier, and that makes the price prohibitive. Will be in England next year and will look out for them - thanks for bringing them to my attention. Cheers, M

Hello M,

In the meantime, the editions of "Lotus News" that were provided by Tim & Brian are a really good read.

They're certainly not "dry"! For example, one contains this:

Example.jpg and

Not sure about timelines with yourself but they may contain some memory joggers.

They can be found in this thread:

Het thanks R - I will check that out. I am not surprised Graham Hill's remarks had to be censored  I remember he and Jim Clark used to frequent the 'tea room' at Hethel, and Graham's jokes were so dirty it made a lady blush :( (but then I was very young at the time !!)

Just checked that thread - it's amazing ! I did not know such a magazine existed, albeit now long gone. Saw an article on the late Jim Endruweit and it even mentioned his white socks ! Jim, who chain smoked Gaulois (not sure of the spelling there) and was very fond of Spanish classical guitar was a great guy - we had a few dates back in '65. I have very fond memories of him. Anyone else ever meet him ?

Thanks again for the link - lots to read there. M

Hi Richard - that DVD looks stunning - unfortunately I cannot purchase right now because I live in South Africa. There is so much theft in the post office and at the airport that companies will not post items here, everything has to be done via a door to door courier service and that puts the price up sky high. I have to go to England next year, so I could probably make a plan to have it delivered to my sister's address there. Anyway, for now it is on my 'wish list' (together with the 2 books The Lotus Story) - thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Cheers, M

Maureen I would consider moving to a safer place . We have 11 months of winter with 2 months of poor snow shoeing and summer comes and goes on a Thursday . The gangsters shoot each other at a rate of about 60 a year the cops are reasonably graft free ' the mail always gets through and the beer is always cold -and you will enjoy Hockey -ed

Maureen M wrote:Could these pictures please be enlarged as per the first, black and white one. Thanks. The first is particularly interesting !

Maureen,

They are plenty big enough if folks "right click" on them and choose "open in new tab" (or window)

One can then zoom in and see them clearly.

Great photos & info again....Lotus Corsair for Harley Copp, eh? :)

Thanks for your efforts - Richard

Most modern Internet browser programs will reduce the view of a picture to the size of the Window, so if you want to see the full detail, after you have done a View in a Separate Tab, hover your mouse over the picture and if it looks like a magnifying glass click once to view the picture at full size. Re-click will shrink it back to window size again.

Hi Henry - thanks for the advice on enlarging the picture. Ed - you say I should consider moving to a safer place. Well I'm an 'economic prisoner' here, but even if I wasn't a move to a cold place would definitely not suit me. I've become a hot house plant. :)
