Brilliant idea - please keep me informed if this is happening because I would love to be there, but obviously would have to make travel/hotel arrangements. Thanks. Maureen

Thank you SENC and everyone else who sent their condolences. All I can say is I hope none of you ever have to go through this - it is so difficult, and I am so far from England. Maureen

Can those in the know please keep me updated on the plans to pull down the Cheshunt factory and build a housing estate. I wrote to Monster Gym but no-one bothered to respond, so the fate of the plaque remains a mystery. And if you are still planning that parade along Delamare Road I would love to be there. Please stay in touch.

I shall be in England next year, during the summer, visiting my sister. It won't be quite the same since my husband used to stay with his son in Scotland, and when we had both finished our individual family visits he would hire a car and we would have 'our' holiday. That's how I got to Cheshunt the last time. We always ended off with a week in Dubai - won't be doing that any more I guess. But thanks to everyone who sent me such kind words.

It?s been quiet on that front Maureen, but I?m sure we are all interested in what will happen.

This is the council website which should give more info:

I've organised a Lotus Club visit to the new workshops of Classic Team Lotus in early November. I'll check with Clive Chapman when we are there what they plan to do about the plaque.

Great idea to check with Clive Chapman - it would be terrible if the plaque just ended up in the rubble. Thanks Coupe !

Coupe - did you find out anything from Clive Chapman about what will happen to the plaque on the former Team Lotus Building ?

Hope everyone has a good 2019. I shall be glad to see the back of 2018.

Regards to everyone, Maureen

Hi
Clive Chapman has provided me with a contact at the firm who will be developing the Delamere Road area at Cheshunt. Hopefully I will hear from them soon on the planned timescale for development of the area.

Thank you Coupe - please keep us all informed. It's such a pity the buildings are eventually coming down, and important that the plaque is preserved.

Hope everyone is okay. I'm still around ! And hoping to be in the UK in June/July. Cheers everyone, Maureen

Panic not. I've heard back from the developer who has stated ' we would expect that development would take place where these buildings are located in around 5-6 years or so from now'
