FWIW the lovelys on the display stand are about 90 years old now and smell strongly of old urine ----ed

A sad day; they broke the mold after he was born.
A fair innings though at 85, especially considering all of those cigars
Jim'll fix it was a great show & he worked so hard for charities.

He was a great character and his charity work raised an awesome sum of money.

I've always thought our honours system is a lot of old cobblers, often going to sporting non-entities such as "paddle boat Pinsent" and the likes of Paul McCartney for goodness sake :shock: .

Jimmy richly deserved it: RIP Sir Jimmy Saville.

Yes, indeed.

But not only was Sir Brian Rix deserving of his Knighthood...he did in fact attend the 1962 motor show...and quite possibly looked at the Lotus stand!

So who else didn't attend the show? Betty Driver? :wink:
