Club Lotus Elan Section - An Update

I thought I would give you a quick bulletin on how things are going for the CLES. Bearing in mind we are taking this steadily, progress has been fair.
Of the CLES members who have so far signed up, you may be interested to know what percentage represent what Elan type:
S1 ? 7%
S2 ? 8%
S3 ? 18%
S4 ? 25%
Sprint ? 20%
Plus 2 ? 20%
Please don't read too much into this, I merely thought it would be of passing interest! Of equal interest - perhaps! - is the fact that only one of the CLES Team has so far signed up; well done Trevor! Even I have'nt yet done so.
You may also be surprised to know we have members not only from England, but also Wales, Scotland, Greece, Luxembourg, France, Canada, New Zealand, Denmark, United States, Finland and Somerset, John!
We are girding our loins to spill a wonderful amount of materiel onto the web site and start to get that all spinning efficiently, though it will take time; I'm afraid the day job comes first - usually! In addition, we are planning the 50th anniversary events including contacting the classic magazines with ideas for road test cars, organising an Alpine rally, being the car of the course at Shelsley Walsh and lobbying hard for a significant presence at Silverstone Classic and Goodwood Revival.
So a huge thank you to those of you who have joined (at http://www.clublotus.co.uk/elansection/lotuselans.aspx) and a huge boot up the jackshaft to those of us who haven't yet. Don't forget, it's all free.
