I don't know. I just bought a new Elise, it reminds me terribly of an Elan (and a bit of a Europa - can't see out the back). It leaks in the rain, it smells of hot oil, the wiper blade fell to bits after less than 100 miles, but it drives just like a Lotus should and for that I forgive it.

I completely agree , the same can also be said of Caterham Cars without Graham Nearne

Oh go on, give up the hunt for an Elan and buy an Elise, you'll still have a heap of fun

We have the Caterham for fun ,the Elan will be for my wife!

Hopefully he might help realise a modern Elan, one worthy of the name! (Still wouldn't want one over an original though, unless they can make it weigh less than 700kg and it has twin webers!)

Great news, I think...and if combined with the Spirit of Hickman in the styling dept it wouldn't be a paper bag job either! :wink:
