Wow, I was also 26 but that was only 33 years ago.

Took me awhile to get here. I didn't buy mine until I was 40, 6 years ago. It took a corvette (at 18), a 280Z (at 20) and an Alfa Spider (at 28) to get me here, but its been worth it. Dan

Perhaps a topic for a different thread, but it's always interesting to see the progression that brought one to a particular car.

For me, it was an 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe (that I was given when I was 14), then an A-H 100/6 (first car I bought with my own money), then a Morgan +4, then a Nissan L60 Patrol, then another Morgan +4, then my first Lotus Elan (another S2). many of the ownership periods overlapped, a great number of others including my 2002Tii, and then in the late 90s vehicles including motorcycles just sort of accumulated (or bred in the garage at night) including my current Elan (bought from a member), so that I ended up with 14 at one point. I'm down to 11 now, and should be at @6 or so by the end of this year.

I was 23 - don't suppose I would get insurance these days. Now 52 so insurance cheaper!

I was 34 for the first S2, and 60 for the second, and I'm 60 now. My first sports car was a 65 Sunbeam Tiger when I was 20, followed by 2 more Tigers, 3 Alpines, a Bugeye (Frogeye), 2 Lotus M100's, 2 MX-5's, and an Alfa Romeo Duetto. Not in that order, but all after the first Tiger. All 4 Lotus's were my favorite, followed by the MX-5's, and then one of my Tigers.

25 in 1982, 7th owner but I still have the car..

I was 27, only one year ago

My first "dreamcar" was a Mini convertible I bought at the age of 19. As I have several Minis today I thought about selling it, but you never forget...
My oldest Mini is a 1960 Morris Mini Minor undergoing a full restoration.

31 - 6 months ago, in many pieces at the moment. hopefully soon restored to its former glory.

Did have a Lotus Excel SE in 2004,

But now also have a 1999 BMW Z3 M Coupe that i hope to keep as my modern Classic.
