Swiss British Classic Car meet at Morges

Just back from a mad 6 day dash across France to Switzerland this weekend in the Elan for what has become an annual event. The poor car sits around for most of the year, pampered and leading a quiet life of shows and short journeys and is then epected to cope with almost a week of long motorways and very steep twisting mountain roads to Switzerland and back. Lots of Lotus cars at Morges, probably more common than any other marque and a fair number of nice shiny Elans. As soon as I can I will post some photos up on the web.
Apart from the starter motor falling to bits on the last day, she was a good ever.... It's amazing how far one car drive without turning the engine off if you have to... Save a fortune a well as no last minute shopping for TOH
Anybody interested in going next year?
Carl

Hello Carl,
Yes I would be interested going next year as Milano is only 330Km from you.
Maybe I can get others to attend also.

I know what you mean. In early 2004 I was riding a motorcycle down to West Africa when the kickstart snapped off in the middle of the Sahara. No electric start and no solo bump starting a 600cc single cylinder engine either. I'd pay local kids to help push start it in the morning and leave it running the rest of the day. Took the best part of a week before I could get it repaired.
